CARIBBEAN TOURISM ORGANIZATION

The Caribbean Tourism Organization was established in 1989 when the Caribbean Tourism Association (founded 1951) merged with the Caribbean Research and Development Centre. It is an international development agency headquartered in Barbados with marketing operations in London and New York.

CTO’s Government members reflect the Region’s diversity and include English, French, Spanish and Dutch speaking territories of the Caribbean.

Private sector representatives include members of the Caribbean Hotel Association, air and cruise lines, travel retailers, tour operators, travel writers and the media.

CTO provides an important open forum for those interested in developing, improving and promoting the Caribbean tourism product.

Mission of a CTO Chapter

To play a leading role in the travel industry by having a forum in which individuals, particularly travel agents, meet for the primary purpose of developing more awareness of destination products and therefore expand travel and profit opportunities.

WHY JOIN CTO?

The purpose of CTO is to establish a forum where individuals, particularly Travel Agents, connected with selling travel and providing services for the Caribbean, can meet for the primary purpose of developing a greater awareness of the destination and product knowledge and therefore expand travel & profit opportunities.

NEW ENGLAND CTO CHAPTER

Most meetings are hosted by one of the member Caribbean Tourist Boards and occasionally we hold Trade Shows, Cultural Festivals, Cruise Nights, Fund Raiser Dinners etc. The dinner cost is usually $25.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members/guests.

Our Chapter prides itself on member participation on different projects, committees, and fund raisers.
